A house, from morning to night.
Ceramics, linen, oak and stone, made by hand in small workshops and shown in the light they were made for. Scroll to walk through one day in one house.
kalkLime. The soft mineral plaster on the walls of old Dutch, Portuguese and Japanese houses.
We make a short list of things for the house: vessels, linen, lamps, a few pieces of oak. Each one is made by a person we can name, in a workshop we have visited, and photographed in the room it belongs to, at the hour it looks best.
One day,
one house
Keep scrolling and the day moves on. The light, the shadows and the colour of the walls follow it.
Hand and origin
Eleven workshops in five countries. We buy what they make in small runs and pay before the kiln is fired, not after the piece sells.
New this season
See all sixteen objectsPacked by the maker
Every piece leaves the workshop wrapped in recycled linen and paper, never plastic.
Thirty days at home
See it in your own light. If it is wrong for the room, we collect it at no charge.
Chips and cracks mended
Send a damaged piece back to its maker and we will pay for the repair, for life.
Carbon-neutral delivery
By sea and rail where we can, and offset where we can't, to 30 countries.

Sixteen things for the house, each shown in the light of your own hour. Change the light to see how they live through a day.
